We are continuing with our essays. Things to consider:
On Friday, you will hand in a complete essay. There will be 5 parts/paragraphs to your essay (Introduction, 3 body paragraphs, Conclusion). You are not limited in number of words, but it should be about 1000 words minimum.
Keep all your paragraphs, drafts, outlines etc….you will be handing them back in to show progress throughout the essay writing exercise.

Chapter 6 Chart and Chapter 7 Chart due: Tuesday, May 3rd for Jigsaw activity. Make sure you get your part of the chart completed.
DW: Go back to your very first DW on February 1st (topic was Poetry)…now that we have done a Poetry unit this semester.
Reflect/respond on what you wrote on February 1st.
We are now officially working on essay writing.
Three similarities common to “Fish Cheeks,” “So what are you anyway,” and “Paper Menagerie”
OR
Analysis of a short story or your choice (“Ruthless,” “The Open Window,” or “The Dinner Party”)
Aim for at least 1000 words. Not a problem considering most students are pretty much already close to this with the three paragraphs written so far.
You will have class time each day to work on the essays. Laptop cart has been booked.
Essay will be due Friday, May 13th.
We will continue on with Chapter 7 this week.
Chapter 8 notes will be for grading. Make sure you have a good set of notes!
