We are working through Chapters 6,7,8 for the next week or so.  Make sure you have at least read the chapters by now.

Second Paragraph was due today!  If you are still working on it…finish up for tomorrow and submit.  Thursday, you are moving onto your THIRD formal paragraph on the Short Story assignment.

Third and final paragraph will be due on Friday at the end of class!   I have booked the laptop cart for the rest of the week.

Continue on with second common topic/idea based on “Paper Menagerie”, “So what are you anyway” and “Fish Cheeks” Venn Diagram  AND rework and improve the first paragraph handed back today.

OR

Write a paragraph based on the one story you read this week (“Ruthless”, “The Open Window” or “The Dinner Party”).  You should pick out at least three topics based on your analysis of the story and come up with evidence for each of the topics. (Examples:  The importance of setting in the story.  How symbolism is significant to the story.)  Then choose one topic to write about for your story

*In your paragraph remember to give a thorough explanation of your topics as well as specific examples/evidence from the story to back up your topics.  Also include quotes directly from the story that exemplifies your topic.
