• Do you think student walkouts and other protests will affect change in gun control legislation in the US?
• Does Canada have the same gun violence problem as the US?  What makes Canada different from the US?
• Gun violence in BC
• Why do so many people around the world hate the US? How are they affected by U.S. foreign and military policy? How are they affected by the actions of U.S. global corporations?
• If the US is so rich and strong as a nation, why is there so much fear in the United States?
• How is the US media different from those in other nations?
• What role does white racism play in the media, in the culture of fear, in US foreign and military policy?

Encounters with Canada is a program for grade 10 & 11 students to travel to Ottawa for a week at a greatly reduced cost…to meet with peers from across Canada.
