Advocating for Climate-Sensitive Education for the Next Generation – DPAC general meeting, Thu Apr 28 @ 7 pm

Dear parents,

This is one of the last few general meetings of the year for Vancouver DPAC. Our meeting is particularly relevant given the impacts our children have felt from the climate events of the last 12 months.

The meeting will be informative, timely, and inspiring for parents interested in how education and nature interact and why climate-sensitive education is beneficial and necessary.

Melissa Lem – Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment (CAPEPaRx is breaking ground as Canada’s first national, evidence-based nature prescription program (video presentation)

Togonon Severin Togo – youth environmental activist and founder of Environmental Education for Youth Empowerment EEYE youth-led association making environmental education a priority

Colin Mayer – Teacher, Science Dept. Head, EEPSA Executive Member

Lorna Pelly – For Our Kids North Shore Team Lead and Development & Communications Lead with the FOK network

George Radner – Executive Director of Be The Change Earth Alliance (BTCEA)
