Southlands Farm June 12th

Trip to Central Park

We had a relaxing and enjoyable time at Central Park today!

It was a beautiful sunny day and in the forest there was a cool breeze. We all enjoyed walking in nature, seeing fish, ducks, geese and squirrels.

Trip to Van Dusen Garden on April 24th

We had a picnic by the magnolias and toured the many gardens including the Maze! We were lucky and saw ducklings. This was our last day with Laura, Langara practicum student. Thanks Laura!

Gardening and cooking

Over the last couple of weeks, students helped to build a greenhouse, prepare beds and plant seeds. We are growing pac choi, gai lan, and a mesclun lettuce mix for spring eating.

Students have been cooking up a storm at Sunset Community Centre: chicken adobo and rice, banana pancakes, muffins and cheese scones…
