DP 11/12 – Agenda Cover Contest

Hi folks,

Away sick today.

We have been working on compositing and typography the past few lessons. Now let’s apply that to a real world context. At the end of the year, there is always a student agenda contest. The past few years, the entries for the most part have been done with pencil and paper. Not this year, I am hoping for you folks to apply your knowledge and skills along with some creativity to make something special for next year’s cover.

Criteria:
1. Use a creative border
2. Use an artistic font
3. Must be in colour, but you must submit final products in colour and B&W.
4. Must have school name, address and next year’s school year.
5. Must be orginal work. (stock images or content found online must be re-mixed in)
6. Seamlees transitions.
7. Must be 8″ X 11″
8. 300 DPI

Email me with questions.

I love this game! But, tell me they didn’t have this planned in advance. Car and choir…come on.

Typography

Today, I would like you to continue to explore typography. There are so many learning opportunities on the internet for you to explore.

I would like you to click on this site and choose one of the 6 to experiment with. Or try them all.

By experimenting with typography, I am preparing you for the agenda contest at the end of the year. $200 is the prize.

Destination Imagination

Alas, we must redo our DI registration and re-submit stat. See Mr. Leung or myself for help.

Term II

Term II is coming to a close. At this point, you need to be handing in all outstanding assignments. Make sure you do your self assessment and update your ePortfolio.

We are more than half way through the year. Please continue to work hard through term III.

Happy Valentine’s JO
