The 26th Annual Wellness Show

The 26th Annual Wellness Show still has many volunteer opportunities available from February 17 & 18, 2018.  All shifts are on a first come first serve basis with a possibility of rotation within the positions or other positions.  To view all remaining positions and schedules available, click on the following links:

Year of the Dog 2018 Celebration at International Village Mall

Student volunteer opportunities are still available for the Chinese New Year Celebrating Year of the Dog at the International Village from Friday, February 16 to Sunday, February 18, 2018.  It is expected that there will be over 102,000 visitors who will be attending this event, the program includes lots of festivities, traditional arts and cultural exhibitions, booths and entertainment.  This year the Dragon Boat Festival will bring in a real dragon boat to the event venue for visitors to take photos.  Also, there will be a Chinese New Year of Dogs Arts Festival during the event.  For description of duties and instructions to apply, click on the link 2018_CNY_-Volunteer-Application-Form.  There will be a mandatory orientation meeting for volunteers on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10 am, at the Leasing Office, Unit 2127 of the International Village Mall.  This is a very popular event with a limited number of positions and will fill up quickly.  Student volunteers will be provided with a meal coupon on event days and a certificate of recognition with service hours.  Deadline for application is Wednesday, January 10, 2018 by fax (604-646-1089) or email to ivmleasing@gmail.com.

Vancouver Aquarium Placements for January 2018 – Student Volunteer Opportunites

Vancouver Aquarium is offering the following work experience opportunities beginning January 2018:

  • Junior Biologists Club Winter 2018 – program runs Saturdays and third Saturday each month
  • Winter Wet Lab 2018 – runs Monday to Friday only

Deadline to apply is Saturday, December 9, 2017.   All interested students must attend the group interview on Sunday, December 17, 2017 and time will be confirmed with students.  If selected you must attend both mandatory training days – Core Training and Specific Training.
