Year of the Dog 2018 Celebration at International Village Mall

Student volunteer opportunities are available for the Chinese New Year Celebrating Year of the Dog at the International Village from Friday, February 16 to Sunday, February 18, 2018.  It is expected that there will be over 102,000 visitors who will be attending this event, the program includes lots of festivities, traditional arts and cultural exhibitions, booths and entertainment.  For description of duties and instructions to apply, click on the link 2018_CNY_-Volunteer-Application-Form.  There will be a mandatory orientation meeting for volunteers on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10 am, at the Leasing Office, Unit 2127 of the International Village Mall.  This is a very popular event with a limited number of positions and will fill up quickly.  Student volunteers will be provided with a meal coupon on event days and a certificate of recognition with service hours.  Deadline for application is Wednesday, January 10, 2018 by fax (604-646-1089) or email to ivmleasing@gmail.com.

CIBC Run for the Cure 2017 – Volunteer Opportunities

The Canadian Cancer Society has a number of volunteer positions available to students prior to Run Day (Friday, September 22 and Saturday, September 30) and on Run Day (Sunday, October 1).  This is a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours, meet new people and be inspired by cancer survivors.
