Vancouver Opera – Work Experience Opportunity

The Vancouver Opera is looking for 5 work experience students to help out with their season’s production.  The first production of the season, Puccini’s Turandot opens on October 13, 2017 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.  This is an amazing opportunity opened to Grade 11 and 12 students interested in any aspect of theatre or music and to see a work class production from behind the scenes.  This program is designed for students considering a professional or amateur career in the arts.  Participants will watch rehearsals, interview cast and production staff, and have full backstage access to the opera of their choice – Turandot, L’Elisir d’ amore, or Eugene Onegin.

If you have any students interested, please have them complete the attached student application form Student Application form 2017-2018 and email completed forms to vois@vancouveropera.ca or by fax at 604-682-3981.  Vancouver Opera will do the selection process quickly, more of a first come, first served approach for this production.  The work experience opportunity will begin Monday, September 25, 2017.

If you have any questions, please contact Colleen Maybin, Director of Education and Community Engagement at cmaybin@vancouveropera.ca or 604-331-4960.
