Creatures of the Night Volunteers

Are you interested in local ecology and nocturnal animals?  Help the Stanley Park Ecology Society (SPES) create an entertaining and educational nature program at the Halloween Ghost Train!  SPES is a community-based, not for profit organization dedicated to encouraging stewardship of our natural world through environmental education and action.

Creatures of the Night is a long running, highly successful program that partners with the Stanley Park Ghost train.  They create an entertaining and educational nature program.  All activities will take place in Stanley Park in partnership with the Halloween Ghost Train.  Volunteers will educate visitors about nocturnal wildlife using different animal props, including pelts and skulls.

Positions available include:

  • Information Station Attendants – Educate visitors about nocturnal animals and light pollution using animal props and interactive displays
  • Animal Actors – Interact, in character and costume with children and families while sharing fun facts about nocturnal animals.
