Pedalheads Bike Camps – Paid and Volunteer Opportunities

Pedalheads Bike Camps is once again offering paid and volunteer opportunities during Spring Break.   They will be hiring 40 students to work with them over the two March Break weeks, March14-18 and March 21-25 (no camp on March 25).  Every student who applies before the deadline will receive an interview invite at their office where they will be part of a group style interview.  Deadline to apply is Friday, February 12, 2016.

The 24th Annual Wellness Show – Final Volunteer Registration

The 24th Annual Wellness Show has a large number of volunteer opportunities still available for February 11-14, 2016.  All shifts are on a first come first serve basis with a possibility of rotation within the positions or other positions.  To view all remaining positions and schedules available, click on the following links:

The KidSafe Project Society

KidSafe is once again looking for student volunteers to help out during Spring Break from March 14-24, 2016 (closed Good Friday, March 25).  Founded in 1993 by the Vancouver Sun newspaper, concerned citizens, and Vancouver School Board teachers and principals.  KidSafe provides a nurturing safe havens for inner-city children when school are traditionally closed.  Each weekday during the winter, spring and summer breaks, KidSafe keeps school doors open at five Vancouver elementary schools to provide, fun and learning opportunities to 340 children and youth.

All students must complete and receive their Criminal Record Check clearance before the start of their placement.  Application deadline is Wednesday, February 10, 2016.  There will be a mandatory volunteer orientation on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Queen Alexandra Elementary from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
