Marine Educator Kindergarten to Grade 3

The Vancouver Aquarium has a work experience opportunity available for 2 to 4 students for their Marine Educator Kindergarten to Grade 3 Program.  These work experience placements do take place during the weekday and would require students to miss one day a week from their classes.  For complete description of duties and mandatory orientation training date, click on the link Fall 2015 K-3 English WEX Recruitment.

Marine Educator Bilingual Work Experience

The Vancouver Aquarium has several work experience opportunities available for students that are fluent in both English and French.  These work experience placements take place during the weekday and would require students to miss one day a week from their class.

  • Marine Educator Bilingual, Kindergarten to Grade 3.  Two to four students will volunteer every Tuesday from 9 am to 2:30 pm.  Placement dates will be Tuesday, October 13, 2015 to Tuesday, December 15, 2015.  Students will also be given the option of having this placement extended until March 5, 2016.  For complete description of duties and mandatory orientation training date, click on the link Fall 2015 Marine Educator K-3 WEX Recruitment – Bilingual

 

  • Marine Educator Bilingual Wet Lab, Kindergarten to Grade 12.  Four students will volunteer every Monday from 9 am to 2:30 pm.  Placement dates will be Monday, October 12, 2015 to Monday, December 14, 2015 (excluding the statutory holiday on November 11, 2015).  Students will also be given the option of having this placement extended until March 5, 2016.  For complete description of duties and mandatory orientation dates, click on the link Fall 2015 K-12 WEX Recruitment – Bilingual.

The Stanley Park Halloween Ghost Train Volunteers

Student volunteer opportunities are available for this year’s 16th annual Stanley Park Halloween Ghost Train in Stanley Park.  For description of duties and instructions to apply, please visit Ghost Train 2015.  There will be a mandatory orientation meeting for volunteers on October 5 or October 6  from 4 pm to 5 pm.  This is a popular event with a limited number of positions remaining and will fill up quickly.  Students can complete the online application registration at https://ghosttrainvolunteers2015.eventbrite.com
