We<br \/>\nare curriculum specialists and we teach every grade, from K-7. We started this collaborative inquiry in the 2017-2018 school year to inquire, &#8220;How can Teacher-Librarians support student learning and authentic Indigenous learning from the redesigned Indigenous curriculum?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>During this inquiry, we shared resources and ideas, and discussed how we can foster increased awareness, respect and appreciation for Indigenous cultures, histories and contributions.<\/p>\n<p>Our group of fantastic Teacher-Librarians: Jennifer Altman,\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Donna Boardman,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Joyce Chong,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Michele Farquharson,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Dora Kwok,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Annabelle Pendry,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Kamaljit Purewal,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Anne Ritchie,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Michelle Valdecantos<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As Teacher-Librarians, we are in a unique position in our schools.
