Re-creating Art in the Style of Barbara Reid

My very favourite author/illustrator is Barbara Reid!  She creates wonderful books using plasticine for all of the pictures.  Our Friday Art class was spent trying to re-create her pictures using modeling clay.  First I went to our school library to borrow all the Barbara Reid books I could.  Luckily we have quite a number.  Next, as a class, we visited Barbara Reid’s website ( and watched her tutorials on how to start creating pictures using plasticine.  Then we looked through the books to choose a picture we would like to try re-creating.
