Inside our classroom we have a Writer’s Wall where we celebrate our writing! Please come inside and see what we have been working on. This month we have completed an All About Me booklet. The students have enjoyed reading each other’s work and learning all about their new classmates.
Our new bulletin board is ready for viewing! To celebrate poetry month in April we have been learning about different types of poems and poetry vocabulary. Now we are creating our own poems starting with cinquains.
Holman Wang of Star Wars Epic Yarns visited our school today. He creates his books, called Cozy Classics, with his twin brother Jack. Holman illustrates his books by felting the characters and putting the characters in natural settings before he photographs them. He has 15 books so far and just finished The Wizard of Oz.
