Kindness Rocks!

Kindness Rocks!
We have been enjoying our regular visits with Mr. Baker, our Youth and Family Worker. Recently he went to Sechelt and picked up some smooth rocks for our class to paint. We are learning to practice patience as painting these rocks takes many steps. Below are some pictures of our first step- painting the base colour. After the base colour we will be painting a kind word onto the rocks and plan to give them to a friend.
Warm Colours and Cool Colours
This week’s Art project focused on learning about warm and cool colours from the colour wheel. Warm colours are variations of red, yellow and orange while cool colours are based on green, blue and purple. It lightly snowed yesterday in Vancouver so we used snowflake templates in our Warm Colour and Cool Colour Art.
Buddy Caricatures
We finally finished our Big Buddy and Little Buddy caricatures and interviews. Half of the finished posters are outside our classroom and the rest are posted outside our big buddy’s classroom upstairs. Come and see all our hard work (and fun!)
