Today’s Science experiment involved leaving a plate of salty water near our classroom window for one week.

After one week, the water disappeared!  Only the salt remained on the plate.  The water evaporated!  This is just like the water cycle.  The sun heats up the salty water in oceans and evaporates it into the sky.  The salt stays behind and the water that evaporated becomes part of the water cycle.
