{"id":9539,"date":"2020-09-11T09:40:52","date_gmt":"2020-09-11T16:40:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.vsb.bc.ca\/pkwon\/?p=9539"},"modified":"2020-09-11T09:42:05","modified_gmt":"2020-09-11T16:42:05","slug":"2020-2021-welcome-to-a-new-school-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.vsb.bc.ca\/pkwon\/2020\/09\/11\/2020-2021-welcome-to-a-new-school-year\/","title":{"rendered":"2020-2021 Welcome to a new school year!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This school year we are moving to a Quarter System.\u00a0 There will be 4 quarters.\u00a0 In each quarter, students will focus on two courses for 10 weeks.\u00a0 This will allow students to focus on only two subjects at a time.<\/p>\n<p>Each course will alternate between Face to Face in class interaction as well as Remote learning from home.<\/p>\n<p>When your class is on the Remote Learning rotation it is imperative for each student to stay up to date with the course.\u00a0 The course will continue online, therefore, students must have access to technology to allow for this.\u00a0 If students do not have the technology available to them, they must notify the teacher or counsellor as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For courses this year, students:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>need to have access to Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint etc.).\u00a0 Students should be able to download and install to their devices so they can also work offline.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>regularly check this Blog for updates, assignments, announcements.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>need to have access to Moodle.\u00a0 Students will be manually enrolled into the course once I am able to do so.\u00a0 Moodle is where there will be resources\u00a0 (readings, worksheets assignments etc.) for students to access.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This school year we are moving to a Quarter System.\u00a0 There will be 4 quarters.\u00a0 In each quarter, students will focus on two courses for 10 weeks.\u00a0 This will allow students to focus on only two subjects at a time.
