For the past three weeks beginning in mid April, the David Thompson culinary arts students have been working with teachers from the Think & Eat Green program. Think & Eat Green is engaged in building healthy and sustainable food systems in schools (for more information about click here).
Think & Eat Green has challenged the students of DT to think about the food that they eat and the effect which it has on themselves and the world around them through food journals.
Each student personalized their food journal and recorded their food intake along with its effect over 5 days. While recording this, students reflected on the impact food had on them, the world and how they might take action to improve this.
