Circulatory system questions – please complete and submit for marking on 3\/4 April:<\/p>\n

  1. What type of blood vessels are there? discuss their structure and function.<\/li>\n
  2. Trace the path of blood through the heart, mentioning the vessels attached and the valves within the heart.<\/li>\n
  3. Describe the cardiac cycle (using the terms systole and diastole) and explain the heart sounds.<\/li>\n
  4. Describe the cardiac conduction system and ECG. how is ECG related the the cardiac cycle?<\/li>\n
  5. What type of blood vessel is the blood pressure highest? lowest? why? why is this beneficial? what assists venous return of the blood?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Read sections 16.1 and 16.2 in the text (excretory system) if you haven’t done so already.<\/p>\n

    Complete the anatomy of the kidney and nephron handout and submit for marking on 4\/5 April.<\/p>\n
