\nThis engaging and hands-on\u00a0Music<\/span>\u00a0Production<\/span>\u00a0course invites students to explore the creative and technical aspects of modern\u00a0music<\/span>-making. Designed for grades 10-12, the course aligns with the British Columbia curriculum, emphasizing critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration in the arts.<\/div>\n
Students will dive into the exciting world of\u00a0music<\/span>\u00a0production<\/span>\u00a0through:<\/div>\n

  • Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs):<\/b>\u00a0Learn to use industry-standard software to compose, arrange, and produce original\u00a0music<\/span>.<\/li>\n
  • Recording Techniques:<\/b>\u00a0Explore the fundamentals of capturing sound, including microphone placement, audio editing, and mixing for professional-quality results.<\/li>\n
  • DJing and Live Performance:<\/b>\u00a0Discover the art of DJing, including beat-matching, track selection, and creating dynamic live sets to engage audiences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    By the end of the course, students will have the skills to create original tracks, record high-quality audio, and perform as DJs. This course fosters creative expression, technical proficiency, and an understanding of the ever-evolving\u00a0music<\/span>\u00a0industry. No prior experience in\u00a0music<\/span>\u00a0production<\/span>\u00a0is required\u2014just a passion for\u00a0music<\/span>\u00a0and a willingness to learn.<\/div>\n
    Assessment:<\/b>
    \nStudents will demonstrate their learning through hands-on projects, including original compositions, recorded works, and live DJ performances. Assessment will focus on creativity, technical skills, and the ability to reflect on and improve their work.<\/div>\n
