The Senior Concert Band is the top-level ensemble at John Oliver.\u00a0 We will be able to advance our technique and performance on our chosen instrument, play in festivals, community events and tours, learn to work as a team with leadership opportunities and have FUN doing it!\u00a0 Senior Band members are encouraged to also join Jazz Band.<\/p>\n
When in Senior Band, each section of instruments will have a “Section Leader” who will run extra rehearsals, tutoring, and mentorship.\u00a0 As a Section Leader, you will be a part of Music Council and help facilitate secional rehearsals for Beginner Band and Intermediate Band students.\u00a0 These duties reflect highly upon a persons character, Universities and future employers look atthese titles with high regard.<\/p>\n
Every two years, the Senior Band will be able to go on a major trip that will most likely be outside of Canada.\u00a0 These endeavours will be a great learning opportunity that is extra-curricular and will allow students to explore their new environment through music.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
