Highlights of last quarter
- PAC donation to JO Drama department for lighting – $3500 from Consultative fund.
- PAC donation to JO Mini School (Family Fun Bingo funds raised) – $500 from consultative fund.
- PAC scholarships awarded to 6 students- $3500 ($1500 from Legacy fund, $2000 from Gaming)
Upcoming for Fall 2019
- Anticipate receiving the annual gaming fund grant of approximately $22,000. Expected sometime in October.
- Will be working with Mr. Wilmann to allocated gaming funds grants to various clubs and groups in the fall.
*Gaming Funds are intended to benefits students by enhancing their extracurricular opportunities e.g. (student publications, competitions, societies, ceremonies, sports equipment, scholarships and bursaries for post-secondary, conferences, travel within BC). Prohibited uses of PAC gaming funds include: developing new programs, fundraising, monetary prizes, curricular activities, in class activities or purposes, extra-lighting, curtains, props for school theatre/drama, staff luncheons. JO provides 4X$500 Scholarships per year from this fund.
**Consultative Funds have no restrictions. These are funds solely raised by the PAC.
***Legacy Funds were collected at the JO’s 100-year anniversary. These funds are to be used to further and enhance the JO Legacy. The Ken McLeod legacy fund is also held in this account.
