Students enrolled at John Oliver Secondary for 2024-25 are invited to register\/sign up to be a part of the FALL inter-high school athletics teams that are offered at JO; subsequent sign ups will occur later in the academic year for the WINTER (mid-October) and SPRING (late January) seasons separately.\u00a0 Further details on tryouts\/first practices will be posted through TEAMS and school announcements.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n


\n<\/b>Online Registration\/sign up for Fall Sports<\/a> closes at 3pm, September 10, 2024.<\/b><\/p>\n

LEVELS:\u00a0<\/b>please register for your appropriate sport grade level (bolded<\/b>)<\/i>
\nBantam = only\u00a0grade 8s<\/b>\u00a0are eligible
\nJuvenile = up to and including\u00a0grade 9s<\/b>\u00a0are eligible
\nJunior = up to and including\u00a0grade 10s<\/b>\u00a0are eligible
\nSenior = generally\u00a0grade 11s & 12s<\/b>, all grades are eligible<\/p>\n

Important\/please note: any student wishing to sign up\/try out for a level above their own specific grade level must meet the following criteria:
\n– must be able to demonstrate advanced skill level
\n– parent\/guardian consent
\n– approval of coaches\/Athletic Director<\/p>\n

Further information can be requested at ptlee@vsb.bc.ca or come by room 115 (first floor, east hallway); also please note that final sports\/teams offered will depend on sign up numbers (each sport has a minimum number required) as well as availability of qualified coaches and sponsors. In some cases, age levels may be combined in order to run a particular team.<\/p>\n
