Named after\u00a0the adjacent geographical feature,\u00a0False Creek, an inlet that European explorers mistook for the estuary of a small river.<\/p>\n

The first False Creek school was located at Broadway and Kingsway (1887-1892). It was housed in two small wooden buildings.<\/p>\n
