  2. Consider the following questions as you watch the videos:<\/strong><\/span>\n

Consider the quote<\/strong> by Rear Admiral Grace Murray Hopper who stated: “It’s easier to ask forgiveness\u00a0than it is to get permission”<\/span>.\u00a0 Qs:<\/strong><\/span> Are we doing this (being unfair) currently to any groups in Canada?<\/strong> Around the world?<\/strong> For what issues\/wrongs and\/or to whom will we be making apologies in the future for what we’re doing now?<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Qs:<\/strong><\/span> Is this a positive change by our governments or is it just an easy way out?<\/strong>Is an official government apology enough?<\/strong> Is it a genuine move towards reconciliation?<\/strong> Would it be enough for you?\u00a0<\/strong> Consider the ideas in this article<\/strong> — >\u00a0“You Can’t Drink an Apology” Maclean’s Magazine<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Consider former PM Pierre Trudeau’s comments<\/strong>: \u201cI do not think it is the purpose of a government to right the past. It cannot rewrite history.\u201d<\/span> Former prime minister Pierre Trudeau in 1984, rejecting a proposal from Mulroney about an apology for Japanese Canadians.
