This year, teachers and students will be participating in activities that honour and celebrate Canada&#8217;s Black History and how all of us can make a conscious effort through our thoughts and actions to make this a community and world where everyone feels accepted and valued.\u00a0 Our Social Justice Club also has a number of activities and messages they are planning for the school (please see below for more information on our Social Justice Club).\u00a0 February is also a month that we celebrate kindness (Valentine&#8217;s Day) and Pink Shirt Day- a movement to raise awareness about bullying issues and inspire others to take part in the anti-bullying movement.\u00a0 Stay tuned for more activities and information on these important events as well.<\/p>\n<h2>VALENTINES DAY<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-75 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.vsb.bc.ca\/gordon\/files\/2021\/01\/valentine-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"97\" height=\"97\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.vsb.bc.ca\/gordon\/files\/2021\/01\/valentine-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.vsb.bc.ca\/gordon\/files\/2021\/01\/valentine-1024x1024.png 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.vsb.bc.ca\/gordon\/files\/2021\/01\/valentine-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/blogs.vsb.bc.ca\/gordon\/files\/2021\/01\/valentine-768x768.png 768w, https:\/\/blogs.vsb.bc.ca\/gordon\/files\/2021\/01\/valentine-560x560.png 560w, https:\/\/blogs.vsb.bc.ca\/gordon\/files\/2021\/01\/valentine-260x260.png 260w, https:\/\/blogs.vsb.bc.ca\/gordon\/files\/2021\/01\/valentine-160x160.png 160w, https:\/\/blogs.vsb.bc.ca\/gordon\/files\/2021\/01\/valentine.png 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 97px) 100vw, 97px\" \/>Everyone loves a special treat for Valentines Day and teachers will be doing some special activities in their classrooms.\u00a0 Unfortunately, we still need to abide by the boards&#8217;
