It has been a challenging year but the Gordon Community has persevered and I cannot thank everyone enough for your kindness, compassion and support. It was amazing to have two in person performances this past month for the whole school as well as getting the community together for Walk & Wheels. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate with us for Sports Day but we will try again on June 17. We are also excited for the PAC “Spring Fling” which will be held on June 23. We look forward to many more events next year as well! Our last Spirit Day will be Beach day on June 14. Huge thank you to our Student Council who has done an amazing job this year bringing spirit to our school community! Thank you to Ms. Ubeda and Ms. Parr for sponsoring this club!

Class placement for September 2022. Thank you to families that submitted comments for consideration while we develop classes for next year. Please be advised that we are no longer accepting forms. Next year, we will have 17 English divisions.

Are you moving? We are asking families to reach out to the office if you know you will not be attending Gordon in the Fall. It is very helpful for us to know before September if you are leaving Gordon so we can offer a space for those families on our waitlist.

Grade 7 Farewell. Grade 7 Farewell will be held on Wednesday, June 22 at 1:30 pm. Grade 7 families will be receiving additional information with more details shortly. We are also asking if there are any Grade 6 parents who would be willing to help volunteer on the day of the ceremony to set up refreshments before the ceremony and help serve afterwards. We need 4 to 6 volunteers. Please contact Ms. Steele if you are available during the day.

The last day of school for all students is on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. This is a full day; school will be in session from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. She has kept our library up and running and continued to update it with the newest and most loved books. Thnak you for everything you have done for Gordon! Our wonderful SSA Amanda will also be leaving us. We have really appreciated and valued her expertise, compassion, and support of not only our special needs students but all our students here at Gordon.

It is with a heavy heart that we are saying good-bye to our French Immersion program and the wonderful teachers that have been a part of Gordon for so many years. Mlle Robinet, who has been filling in for Mme Stewart as been a real asset to our Gordon family and we wish her all the best at her new school. Mme.
