English 10 – To Kill a Mockingbird Debate – Ms. Jallad

Should we be studying To Kill a Mockingbird in Canadian schools? Why or why not? This question will be the focus of the class debate.

You will need to find answers for both sides of the argument. We have put some links below to help guide you in your research. We would like you to go to the databases FIRST (choose Global Issues in Context) as there are many sources there that cannot be found on the web.

When using Google, keep in mind the source of the sites. Try and choose sites that just report the facts and have less bias. Also, try and choose sites that are from reputable sources, such as news articles from well known and respected news agencies. If you find other websites that would be helpful please let Ms. M know and she will add it to the list.
