{"id":1220,"date":"2009-12-02T07:06:17","date_gmt":"2009-12-02T15:06:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/johnoliverschool.ca\/keller\/?p=1220"},"modified":"2009-12-02T07:06:17","modified_gmt":"2009-12-02T15:06:17","slug":"bag","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.vsb.bc.ca\/dkeller\/2009\/12\/02\/bag\/","title":{"rendered":"BAG*"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>*The Broadway Art Group.<\/p>\n<p>Grow your creative!<br \/>\nBag* is a youth-driven open art studio, that promotes creative vision, learning and growth for youth ages 15?-24.<\/p>\n<p>It makes available space, materials, showcase opportunities, outings and mentoring for youth in the cultivation of their greater creativity.<\/p>\n<p>Bag* can be a drop-in art room, as well as a supportive greenhouse to assist youth towards possible creative work fields, working on a portfolio or help jumpstart their creative direction.<\/p>\n<p>&gt;<\/p>\n<p>Think: drawing, collage, painting. The program includes special projects on: zines, mobiles, a poster project, murals, outings, visiting artists, seasonal projects and more\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Make: youth have the opportunity to make work that is exhibited and sold, with 60% of the proceedings going to the youth and 40% fully back into the program, ie: into supplies.<\/p>\n<p>Meet: there is an opportunity to meet other youth, hang out, listen to music and eat snacks while working on art-stuff.<\/p>\n<p>&gt;&gt;<\/p>\n<p>BAG* is one of the many services offered by Broadway Youth Resource Center, the one stop approach to community based resources; a Pacific Community Resources initiative.<\/p>\n<p>Contact BAG* at:\tIsantizo@pcrs.ca<br \/>\nOr BYRC at:\t\t604.709.5720<br \/>\nBag*<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>*The Broadway Art Group.
