We have been working with colour pastel as of late and I thought today we would get away from\u00a0realism\u00a0and have some fun with representing emotion via colour, proportion, and \u00a0style.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Did you know that there is\u00a0Color Meaning<\/a>? Yep, different cultures throughout history, and today have built up codification of meaning from colours and emotions… ‘Are you Feeling blue?’, ‘I was red hot’ \u00a0or ‘feeling old and gray’<\/p>\n

Each\u00a0emotion<\/a>\u00a0has a\u00a0color<\/a>\u00a0associated with it and vice-versa. It is seen a lot in\u00a0poetry<\/a>. The emotions and colors have become associated by time and tradition. The roots of this phenomenon seem to be in\u00a0Hinduism<\/a>, and the belief that the color of a person’s\u00a0aura<\/a>\u00a0refects his emotions at a certain time.<\/p>\n

(Don’t hold me to this, I have not studied the origins of the connection between color and emotion. I have only made deductions from what I do know).<\/small><\/p>\n
