Nah, I&#8217;m thinking more contemporary and more Multi-media-ish<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You have\u00a0just finished <strong><span style=\"color: #339966\"><em>Ms Fetche&#8217;s<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"entry-title\" style=\"text-align: center\">&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/msfetschteachersblog.wordpress.com\/video-self-portrait-intro\/\">Director of my Own Life: Self Portrait Video Montage<\/a>&#8220;<\/h1>\n<p>In which the overarching ideas were:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>a self-portrait video montage. You will be collecting and creating a number of short audio clips, video clips and still images and editing\u00a0them together to make a\u00a0<strong>1 minute video about who you\u00a0are,\u00a0<\/strong>whatever this means to\u00a0you. You will use the images and the way you edit them together to tell a story in the form of a montage. It was one of those days when it&#8217;s a minute away from snowing. And there&#8217;s this electricity in the air, you can almost hear it, right? And this bag was just&#8230; dancing with me &#8230; like a little kid begging me to play with it. For fifteen minutes. That&#8217;s the day I realised that there was this entire life behind things and this incredibly benevolent force that wanted me to know there was no reason to be afraid. Ever. Video is a poor excuse, I know. But it helps me remember &#8230; I need to remember&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes there&#8217;s so much beauty in the world &#8230; I feel like I can&#8217;t take it&#8230; and my heart is just going to cave in.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>(video source Youtube)<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>ProsperosSample \u00a0By Peter Greenaway<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><iframe width=\"956\" height=\"538\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Z77y_-zLpd8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>(Video source Greenaway&#8217;s Prospero&#8217;s Books, adaptation of The Tempest.- Youtube)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.luperpediafoundation.com\/peter-greenaway\/\">Peter Greenaway<\/a> is an AMAZING filmmaker who with the equal AMAZING\u00a0 composer, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.michaelnyman.com\/\">Michael Nyman<\/a>\u00a0have made some of the most aesthetically\u00a0stunning and mentally intriguing films I have ever seen. \u00a0You might want to wait until\u00a0your a little\u00a0older to watch these powerful\u00a0films, but when you are a few of my favourites are; \u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Drowning by numbers<\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">A zed and two knots<\/span>, and <em>The cook, the thief, his wife and her lover<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He also does short films that art AMAZING!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"clip_info-header iris_header iris_header--36\" style=\"text-align: left\"><span class=\"clip_info-title\">Jabberwocky, by\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"clip_info-title\">Jan Svankmajer<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/121793253\" width=\"320\" height=\"232\" frameborder=\"0\" title=\"Jan Svankmajer - Jabberwocky\" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>(Video source vimeo.com)<\/p>\n<p class=\"clip_info-header iris_header iris_header--36\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jan_%C5%A0vankmajer\">\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jan_%C5%A0vankmajer\">Jan \u0160vankmajer<\/a> is a Czech artist and filmmaker. \u00a0Some people put the &#8216;filmmaker&#8217; first, but I can&#8217;t. \u00a0To me, \u0160vankmajer&#8217;s work is textural- not just to the touch, but for all the five senses that even though I watch his film my whole body engages with each frame. Zoot Alors! He blows my mind&#8230; \u00a0I first encountered his work a couple of decades ago when I found myself in Prague, Czech Republic, in a 17cent baroque theatre watching \u00a0The <a title=\"Faust\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Faust\">Faust<\/a> legend a Czech puppet show version in which the Puppets or marionettes were of various sizes including Human! \u00a0It was amazing. \u00a0From there I watched two of his featured films <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=38nSgWs26TE\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Faust<\/span><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KVOmGJzj5LM\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Something of Alice<\/span><\/a>. \u00a0Both films have Marionettes, humans, stop-motion photography, claymation, etc, which came to a local alternative movie theatre. \u00a0When I dug a little deeper I found a treasure trove of short films by\u00a0\u0160vankmajer which are truly amazing&#8230; I will stop writing here because no matter how I try to use words to tell you about his work and how amazing it is I will fail&#8230; you just have to experience them for yourselves.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>The Project:<\/h2>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Ok, what I&#8217;m seeing is a project which encompasses you wish to play with or incorporate,\u00a0but the medium of output is video.\u00a0 The topic is Beauty.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Yup, Beauty.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>what is Beauty?<\/li>\n<li>What is &#8216;classical Beauty&#8217;?<\/li>\n<li>How does it differ from contemporary Beauty?<\/li>\n<li>What is Beauty to you?<\/li>\n<li>What is Beauty to someone in a different geographical area? &#8230;Why?<\/li>\n<li>Are there cultural differences in what is considered beautiful?<\/li>\n<li>Does temporal location, the time or date that the paradigm of beauty was produced in change?<\/li>\n<li>Why do you think something is beautiful?
