\nThat time the world stood still.
\nWhen every family stayed at home,
\nWaved out from windowsills –
\nAt those they loved but could not hold,
\nBecause they loved them so.
\nYet, whilst they did they noticed all the flowers start to grow.<\/p>\n
\nAnd windows, rainbows filled.
\nThey kicked a football in their yards,
\nUntil the night drew in.
\nThey walked each day but not too close,
\nThat time the world stood still.
\nWhen people walked straight down the roads,
\nThat once the cars did fill.<\/p>\n
\nThey knew the world was scared.
\nBut whilst the world stood still they saw,
\nHow much the whole world cared.
\nThey clapped on Thursdays from their doors,
\nThey cheered for the brave.
\nFor people who would risk their lives,
\nSo others could be saved.<\/p>\n
\nThey missed their teachers so.
\nTheir Mam\u2019s and Dad\u2019s helped with their work,
\nThey helped their minds to grow.
\nThe parents used to worry that,
\nAs schools were put on hold,
\nTheir children wouldn\u2019t have the tools,
\nThey\u2019d need as they grew old.<\/p>\n
\nNow adults, fully grown.
\nThose little boys and girls back then,
\nThe ones who stayed at home.
\nThey\u2019ll tell you that they fixed this world,
\nOf all they would fulfil.
\nThe RAINBOW children building dreams,
