    Pierre Elliott Trudeau, prime minister of Canada 1968–79 and 1980–84, politician, writer, and constitutional lawyer. A controversial figure, Trudeau was Canada’s best-known politician. When Trudeau was prime minister at the time the British Parliament established a new Canadian Constitution with an entrenched Charter of Rights and Freedom. The quiet revolution gave Trudeau some hope in change in 1960 when Liberal won the provincial election. The Quiet Revolution was a period of time of socio-cultural change in the Canadian province of Québec. This revolution also caused some problems for Trudeau and many of his colleagues who were moving toward the idea of an independent Québec. Another important action Trudeau took was he also brought in the Official languages Act in 1969. In 1967 Trudeau was appointed parliamentary secretary to prime minister Lester Pearson. Theres a lot of great action that Trudeau took at the time even before he was Prime Minster. He was a Canadian politician who served as the 15th Prime Minister of Canada. Unfortunately died on September 20th 2000.

    Brian Mulroney conservative leader became prime minister of Canada from sept 17 1984 – June 25 1943. He wanted to build a stronger link between Canada and the United States. He brought a landmark free trade agreement with the U.S and oversaw passages of the unpopular goods and service tax. He worked hard to make the country a good world citizen. He promised Quebec hat he’d produce a new constitutional arrangement that Quebec could endorse . He also promised that he would make Canada open for business again. He replaced FIRA and replaced it with Investment Canada an body that would encourage foreign investments. In 1965 they unveiled an ambitious plan to create a defence shield part of which would orbit the earth. In 1987 he had started negotiations that led Canada to the free trade agreement with the United States. This agreement had removed tariffs on goods crossing the border as well as opened Canada to U.S investments and U.S to Canadian investments.

    His main goal was to expand Canada’s trading opportunities. He had organized Team Canada to Asia to Latin America to secure deals for Canada exports. The Canadian government signed a free trade agreement with Israel and Chile. Then joined APEC to promote free trade between Canada and pacific countries
